Camp Utopia is a 3- night 4-day camp for high school golfers led by top PGA professionals. Attendees will sharpen their skills with sessions focused on the most important aspect of golf-the mental game. Golfers will hone critical leadership skills, enhancing their ability to navigate the pressures of competitive golf, and strengthen confidence in their game. Additionally, the camp will provide a unique opportunity to learn critical life and golf skills such as identity, risk, dreams, truth and faith, which are all taught from a Christian perspective.
High school golfers lives are often defined by their most recent 18 hole performance. Camp Utopia will teach these young adults that there is more to life than golf. Our aim is to combine life and golf skills over a 4 day period, so they will be better equipped to deal with the pressures of competitive golf. Additionally, we will challenge the golfers to be leaders with their team, coaches, and future playing partners.
“Thanks so much for hosting Camp Utopia. I asked my son to rate how much he liked it on a scale of 1-10 and he said 11! He absolutely loved it and my wife also commented how friendly everyone was. We look forward to future camps.”
“I thought I would let you know my son made the varsity golf team and lettered this year for the first time. He also won the award for most improved golfer in the program. I think Camp Utopia had a big part in that.”
“Hi, my name is Joe Yobi. I went to Camp Utopia in the summer going into my senior year of high school. Camp was the best this that could have happened to me that year. It taught me many things about my golf game as well as about myself. Everything I did in my life was a struggle, golf, school, and my personal life. Years of having to fight for things I wanted took a large toll on my body, mind, and soul. I went to camp following some of the toughest days in my young life. The fighting for everything lead to an even worse fight. I have been fighting low self-confidence and depression most of my teenage life and it came to a peak a few days before camp. I almost didn’t go, but luckily my dad told me I should, which was exactly what I needed. Camp Utopia had a comfortable feeling, even for me, and was the best thing for me at the time. It helped get past my problems and see that god had a plan for us all, even if you can’t see that it is. Camp really helped me get my own life back in order as well as teach me many things about the game of golf."
"Camp Utopia helped my golf game greatly. I went to camp being a slightly above average golfer to a consistent good golfer. It brought my scores down and my confidence up, which led to me playing a key role for my school team near the end of the season. The hours out on the range or on the course helped me become the golfer I wanted to be. Camp Utopia was the one of the best things I have done in my life, so far. I recommend that if you have a chance to go to camp that you should and will love every minute that you are there.”
"I just wanted to thank you guys so much for such a great experience at camp. That really was a week I will remember because I was really able to tell a difference in myself on and off the golf course. I wanted to let you know that I won my next tournament that Thursday after camp at fowlers mill. I shot 78 an won by two after taking a lost ball on the tee off 18. I kept myself under control when I had to go back to the tee even though I thought I was out of the tournament. I learned that the lead was at 80 so I played for par as if the first ball wasn't even hit and made my double to win my tournament. Looking back that could have been a big number just like in the movie with Luke. I really enjoyed camp and the people I met. Even though I will be too old next year I would love to be considered to be a counselor or even just come up and be a helper. Thank you so much for that great weekend I was able to be a part of.
Thanks so much, Alex Avalon" – Camp Utopia Attendee
"Eric attended the camp and LOVED it!!! If he is able to, he would sign up for next year already! I also plan on talking to Mike about getting a few more of our players to this Camp, as I have nothing but VERY positive things to say about it! Nick, Thank you for making it such a wonderful well rounded camp! Eric didn't want to leave. I have already starting talking to parents with girls about attending too."
